ZIZ Salon De'tester

This is so bad, I'm so behind I'm writing a report of a gig which took place 2 months ago! Very sorry about that but I've been busy.

This was my first time attending a ZIZ oneman, and the first time I saw them live this time around in Tokyo! This live was a bit special since it was their 5th anniversary! And they also released a new mini album; Detsuromotsuro No. 5.

The gig took place at Zirco Tokyo, in Shinjuku, a kind of hidden club. It's on the basement floor of a building with sportsbars etc. My ticket number wasn't the best, so when I got into the club I just wanted to get a good spot on the floor. So unfortunately I missed my chance of getting one of their new t-shirts since they were sold out after the gig. ZIZ seems to have a lot of random items for sale, for example I saw this one girl who bought a clock! An acctual clock to put on your wall. The background was the cover of their new cd. It looked really cool, but obviosly that was gone too once I got to their sales stand.

To be honest I'm not sure I have that much to say about the gig itself. Nothing special happened, we got to hear all of their new songs from the album. Like always I really enjoy watching Közi live, he's really good despite what people might think. He doesn't "connect" that much with the audience, but it doesn't really bother me because seeing him you can tell he enjoys what he's doing and that's the most important thing to me.

I got to hear all my favorite songs, Kosmostill, Sanityman, JEEZ, CHAOSMOS, ECHOFALLS and L'AMIE L'AMIE. I haven't seen ZIZ since 2015 so I had not heard any of the songs from JEEZSO8DOVEDOPE yet, obviously I was very excited to hear JEEZ because it's one of their best songs. I really love it. I noticed Közi had some difficulties taking the high notes during the chorus, and once he didn't even sing that. I can see that it's difficult though, for a recording you can paus and cut, but at a live gig he's been singing for like an hour and I bet his vocal chords was a bit tired.

For the encore the band came out with the new t-shirts on. Közi had his long, lumberjack shirt which he's worn at Deep Sanctuary. When he entered stage he had it tightly closed and then suddenly he'd open it to flash the t-shirt, like a flasher. During on of the MC's Közi also mentioned how tired he was, and how he felt old. During this MC he also happened to mention how many songs there was left on the setlist, to the fans disapointment but he defended it with that it was a pretty long setlist, and it truly was. The gig in total was very long, I didn't time it but it felt like close to 3 hours.
As the last song they played Super naked disco. I think I mentioned that before but hearing that on the cd for the first time I just felt like "WTF was that I just listened to". I really hated it, and I still don't like the cd version, but live it's pretty nice acctually.

When the gig was over, I picked up my bag as fast as I could and headed to the merch. But like I already said, all of the new stuff was sold out, but to excitment I found that they still sold the DVD which was released at the same time as JEEZSO8DOVEDOPE! So I picked up a copy with a very strange item they sold. A Közi tattoo seal. Yes, you can now either use it on your hand for an evening or use it and get a tattoo artist to fill it in for you! It's one of the most random items I've seen being sold at a live, and obviously I had to have it.
As can be seen above, they had a very special flower bouquet, this is something you only see in relation to something with Közi I'm sure. Amazingly creative...

So, the special thing about this live was that we'd receive a demo cd as a gift. Unfortunately I haven't been able to listen to it yet since my computer doesn't have a cdrom. I'll update once I've heard it!

Like always, if you get the chance to see Közi in any of his bands live, do it!

EDIT: When I was about to exit the club I saw Ryux from Moi Dix Mois, AGAIN (he was at the twoman Dalle live in May too). He keeps popping up at Közi's gigs...

生誕典礼祭〜Mana様Birthday〜 (18th & 19th)

On the 18th and 19th Moi Dix Mois held their annual Mana birthday live gigs! This was my first time being able to participate so I was rather excited! However things didn't really turn out the way I planned.

18th

On Saturday there was the seated live at Mt Rainer Hall in Shibuya! I have never been there before but it was very close to the station, and acctually part of a shoppingmall (uniqlo was located at the bottom). The previous years I've been very impressed by the fact that they've always sold out the first evening, seeing the venue I understood why, it's very small! It was also a bit confusing to reach the right floor, but I made it just in time! JUST in time :P
I had planned for this day (okey, not that much), I had to pick out a present for Mana (I even bought a blueribbon to attach to the package), I had my outfit planned and I had the time scheduled. Nothing went as planned. I ended up leaving my apartment around 4p.m, it takes me about 1h to go to Shibuya... I got dressed in 10minutes, I didn't even have time to tie my corset properly. I left buying a present until the day before and I was really busy that day so standing in the store, paniced, I decided not to get Mana a present, instead I'd give him my cash by buying something at the live :P
The good thing was that I didn't have to wait for that long when I arrived (I hate waiting for the band to start). I had not seen Moi Dix Mois since 2014 so I felt really hyped, since I remember them as a really good live band.
The setlist felt kind of flat to me, the songs I truly enjoy that they played was Sanctum Regnum, Dispell Bound, Perish and The Sect. This time they did something interesting with The Sect, the beginning was sung in accapella. At first I didn't realise which song it was, until I connected the lyrics with the song. They also did Sanctum Regnum and Dispell Bound after eachother, and Seth gave instructions on how you're supposed to do the D-I-X sign to the music. I was really excited about this, I love Dispell Bound and I felt childishly excited about being able to do the D-I-X with them XD At my first Moi Dix Mois live I got to hear Sanctum Regnum but since it also was my first concert in Japan I remember feeling really freaked out about having to do parapara and ended up not doing anything.
During the MC Mana came out with a panda backpack and threw out candy to the audience (later discovered it was candy bought from the 100yen shop, and Mana had signed each tiny piece of wrapping). Because of the over all boring setlist and the fact I had not eaten in all day, I couldn't help but to wish they were done soon, and he'd throw a piece my way because I was so hungry. Unfortunately I didn't get any.
As always Mana had a message for the audience read by Seth. I didn't follow everything he said but there seems to be some sort of event later this year to celebrate Mana's long time in the music industry.
During the evening they played all of the new songs, again, I'm sorry but only one of those acctually caught my attention. I've heard two of them before (Beast Side and the slow one I can't remember the name of, Twilight something?) and I'm not that impressed by those. But this really new song, I think they played it for the first time this evening, it was acctually good.
As finale they played Je l'aime, and when Seth pronounced the words I was sure he said something completely different so I thought I'd get to hear yet another new song XD When entering the venue they handed out glowsticks, and for this song we were supposed to use them. I haven't used anything which glows for years and years. I used to have those bracelets which glows as a child, but I had completely forgot how you activate them! Seth told everyone to grab their sticks (hehe, that sounds weird), and he held it horizontal, a clicking sound and then it glowed. And I just couldn't get how to get mine to glow! So embarrassing, I just stood there, squeezing and pulling, but nothing. After a while I just gave up XD
So the gig was over, and since I was late I didn't get time to buy any of the new merch when I arrived, so I lined up and most had been sold out, but I got the blue one piece! Maybe it will come in handy when Tokyo gets warmer, so far I've slept in it hehe. I feel kind of weird using these onepieces as dresses outside, because they feel more like something you'd walk around in at home (still haven't used the Dalle one either). Eventhough I didn't get any candy, when the lights were turned on I realised one of Ryux picks had landed right infront of me! Always nice to see that some can throw...

19th
Home to sleep and then up the next morning for yet another Moi Dix Mois evening! This time it was held at Tsutaya O-west, also in Shibuya. It was the first time for me to attend a live at this venue as well, but it lies within an area with a lot of venues (like Vuenos) so it's rather easy to find. This day I was better prepared and since it was a standing live I was hoping for a better setlist. My number was ok I guess, 200-something, but it felt like this venue wasn't that big either, so after I got in and unfortunately couldn't decide wether I should get a locker or not (and then also realise I didn't have the right amount of coins :P) many had already gotten in and close to the stage so I ended up standing in the back after all with an acquaintance. I was a bit right, the setlist had improved but what suprised me was that they played songs they played the night before again! Perish is one of my favorite songs so that was alright I guess, but they played Dead Scape and it's not that good (IMO) to do two nights in a row. What bothers me most about the fact that they play the same songs both evenings is the fact that Moi Dix Mois has material enough not having to do that but they (or Mana?) chose to do so. There's so many songs they rarely play live, why not do those...

Anyhow, I did get to finally hear Unmoved, and they also played Seventh Veil which I love.
During this night MC they talked about Mana being a musician for long and how it started with Malice Mizer, so Mana (or Seth) asked the audience what song they'd like Mana to play! He'd play any Malice Mizer song for us. People started shouting and it wasn't very audiable what they were asking for, so Seth stoped everyone and asked us to shout at the same time. And you could sort of hear most people yelling for Vert Ailes (or as most fans believe it to be called, Bel Air). So Mana started playing it, and to be honest, I'm not an expert but from time to time it sounded a bit off but it's ok, probably been a long time since he did it. Anyhow, I began feeling like it was made up when Seth began singing the lyrics WHILE looking down in his papers. He couldn't have had all of Malice Mizer's lyrics in there, so they sort of knew they'd play that song... Made me a bit disapointed. Mana also threw in some Kioku to sora at one point, which is kind of funny. Makes me wonder if he misses Malice Mizer or if he just wants to show that he hasn't forgotten about it (since many fans still admire them). They of course did Immortal Madness and like always they want everyone to shout out something, tonight though the thing to shout was no less than "sexy, pretty, angel Mana sama", with movements to it....yes, that's how far from the darkness we have gone. I couldn't help but to laugh at it, but at the same time it's sad. I remember watching part of the live performances from Moi Dix Mois first live DVD in high school, and thinking they looked so cool because the atmosphere was so dark and witch-like. Everything in black and Mana was pretty badass showing no emotion. Now we're down to the band performing in gold, while Mana smiles making the audience do movements as shouting he's sexy, pretty and an angel... I wonder what my reaction would've been if someone would've told me 8 years ago... What caught me with Malice Mizer in perticular, but also Moi Dix Mois was the mysterious thing going on. With Mana it felt like it was alywas a performance of music but in a theatrical way. Like you didn't get to see the real people, they were performing EVERYTHING on stage. It might sound weird and as something negative, but to me it was the contrary. I found it very appealing. Now that Mana is slowly breaking that down I feel like Moi Dix Mois image is sort of falling apart as well. The previous evening Mana kept making jokes (through Seth of course) about Ryux, making us shout he was a doll in Immortal Madness, and he pretended to fall to the ground etc etc. I just feel like this wasn't really Moi Dix Mois image to begin with, to make the audience laugh at them, doing slapstick comedy while singing songs about angels and sabbath's, you name it. Maybe I'm wrong though, I didn't attend a Moi Dix Mois live until 2011, but even at that they didn't do all of this...weird stuff. :P I had overall fun (and I finally understood how to use my glowstick:P) but if they were to have another regular live while I'm in Japan, I wouldn't go to be honest. I would've settled for one of these evenings even. Hopefully the new album will be better than I think the new songs has been.

Some fans had contributed with a bouquet for Mana, the blue one of course. And the amazing thing was that someone had made tiny snoopy's, one representing each member, with tiny costumes and Sugiya even had a bottle of Jack Daniel's in his hand!

Moi Dix Mois - Dis Inferno XII ~Last year party~ at Shibuya WWW

Last night was the last concert for Moi Dix Mois this year, Dis Infernal XII.
It felt a bit special for me this time because the live was held at Shibuya WWW, and that's where I saw them the first time in 2011.
I sort of forgot time...and my localtrain was going so slow it took me forever to get to Meidaimae (where I transfer to a train going to Shibuya), and on my way I tried figuering out why it felt like I left something at home, I later realised it was my earplugs! So on top of being late, I was too scared going deaf I ran into a pharmacy trying to find earplugs (no success). When I arrived at the venue it was about my turn to go in eventhough I had a sort of bad number (161).
Seeing the stage made me feel even more "nostaligic" (if you can be that for an event which happened 3 years ago:P), because the setting was almost the same, with the big cross in the ceiling, the gate by Mana and Hayato and the Moi Dix Mois logo in the back.

As always I feel a bit annoyed at the fans who keep space infront of them in which 2 people could stand, but fortunatley my friend agreed so when the lights were turned off and the band was about to enter, we pushed like there was no tomorrow.

As the members entered I was really excited to see Ryux, especially the rest of his outfit, but from where I was standing and with tall people in high heels, I was happy if I could see Mana's upperbody (I did see all the members heads though :P)
Nothing new when it comes to the outfits of the other members, just the same as for the release of Reprise. To be honest I was highly disapointed in what we could see of Ryux outfit in Mana's blogentry, and I was even more dispointed at the rest XD I'm sorry but I can't see how his clothes fit the rest of the members... His hair reminded me highly about Rikku in Final Fantasy X-2, with the headband and long braids. I didn't get a good look at his bottompart, but it looked very simple, and the model of his top looked like a t-shirt (just in another kind of fabric and details), so I hope they release something so they get some new outfits XD

As the times before, I think Moi Dix Mois music is awesome live. They might not add anything special to the songs, but they're just so great when played live! I was really happy over the great setlist aswell, I never thought I'd hear Vizard live! I prefer the songs like Night Breed, Neo Pessimiste etc, over the slower ones like Solitude, especially live, since Mana's so..."shy" I think he performs best during these songs. The reason I wrote "shy", is because eventhough I'm pretty sure he really is shy, I have to say he comes across as unengaged sometimes during lives. Like when Seth is talking and you can see Mana just looking down the floor or doing stuff with his guitar, and then all of a sudden he's back to sign language and whispering. The more I've seen him live the more I feel like I'd so pick him if I got to chose 1 bandman to talk to XD I really want to know whats behind all that. It's not that easy to read his face, sometimes I'm not even sure if he really enjoys it to be honest. I hope he does though, and I think he does, he probably would've quit by now otherwise.

During the first MC Mana wanted us to call Mana-chan and Mana-kun, then he told Seth it made him remember schooltimes.
During this night Mana came pretty close to us in the audience, and I saw how many people reached for his guitar, which I felt was kind of weird since he was playing and it was obviously distracting, at least since some grabbed for it. I tried my best to get one of his guitarpicks, but I failed... Once I even felt it on my chest, but it fell on the floor and eventhough I sat down trying to find it, it was too dark and I felt a lot of platformshoes...and I didn't feel like loosing my hand trying to find the guitarpick, and on top of that I wasn't the only one who dived down, when I wanted to get up again it was almost impossible since I then had the ass from the girl infront of me covering my way up since she bended down looking for the pick:P
I'm glad Hayato now always gets to take part of the MC! He joined in during Immortal Madness. When I saw them in 2011 he did not talk during the whole evening, but since he did during the live in October I'm guessing its something which has changed with the years (?).
Also, his hair was a bit different, he was now shaved on the sides (not completly but the hair was reallyreally short). Maybe he have had it like this for longer...I don't know since photos are rarely posted of him :P
Mana went and got a Jack Daniel's, and I was pretty sure he'd drink from it, but NO, he made poor Seth do it instead....twice! after the second sip you could see Seth wasnt that amused by it XD

For the encore the band got back on stage with partly new outfits. Mana in his Mötley Crue t-shirt, Hayato also had some old bandshirt, don't know which but it was black with some greenstuff (XD), Sugiya had a black leather jacket and Seth came back in pants and a huge fur. Not because of perverted fangirlness, but I was a bit glad that Seth was halfnaked because I wanted to see his tattoos. I don't know how old he is, but I'm guessing around the same age as Mana, have to give him creds for looking very youthful. In general Seth looked very nice, I felt as if he didn't have that much make up, slightly red eyeshadow, and he looked very beautiful.

They played a cover (I'm guessing something by Mötley Crue?) and unfortunatley Seth's vocals wasn't the best, probably because it was an english lyrics, it wasn't that his voice sounded bad, but like many japanese singers the words start to melt togheter after a while. Like most already know, Mana was playing drums for this and Hayato did the guitar. After the song Mana threw out his drumsticks to the audience and I acctually grabbed one by the edge, but people went crazy and I realised I wouldn't have a chance...

The second and the last song for the encore was Deus ex Machina! I really like this so I'm glad that's one of the songs they seem to play every time. This evening balloons were thrown out. Mana stood kind of close to us in the audience and people for some reason threw te balloons back at him so for a while he stoped playing and just kept throwing them back. Not sure with his stoneface but I think he looked kind of amused (XD)
Then when the song ended, he all of a sudden turned his back against us, removed his guitar and just leaned back, and here's the weird part, I stood kind of close but all of a sudden people sort of pushed some of us away. and I have no idea if it was people from the middle just attacking to get a touch of Mana, or if people backed XD (normally you're supposed to take the person who stagedives, not go away XD), so some staff came and helped Mana up again. Then Mana went to the other side of the stage and touched peoples hands, and again, since people saw him coming back they got a bit violent, for a while it looked like people really grabbed his hands and arms and didn't seem to want to let go. I took my chance too, but gently. Then it was about to wrap things up, Mana was sitting in a corner throwing back balloons again, and Hayato grabbed a balloon and hit it with his drumsticks, and I was lucky enough to catch it! Finally the bandmembers all grabbed eachothers hands and then they jumped, said goodbye and left the stage.

I had a lot fun, and I do feel a bit sad that this was my last Moi Dix Mois live at least for now. I would've loved to go to Mana's birthday live....but I'll cherish the memories I have from these two lives I've been able to attend!

The setlist is stolen from Twitter, I did not remember the order! So thanks to the japanese fan who posted this!

ZIZ on Takadanobaba Club Phase

Friday night ZIZ participated in an event on Takadanobaba Club Phase togheter with Amber Gris and Hollowgram.

I rarely know in which order the bands play so I'm always a bit confused about if I should rush to get a good spot or if I can have a drink and wait... Usually I just rush because I don't want to end up in the back :P
Amber Gris was first out and to be honest they made me yawn XD Their 40 minutes felt like 1 hour, and they just felt so random... I googled them before I bought the ticket just to see what I had to endure for the sake of Közi, and since they acctually had PV's I didn't think they'd feel so...amateurish XD They looked so random, like the bassist was dressed in lolita fashion, the singer reminded me of Adam from ADAMS and one of the guitarists looked a bit steampunk and obviously was their fangirl magnet :P
I was kind of happy when they finally left stage and ZIZ got on.

Club Phase has this screen which is pulled down when the bands prepare the stage, but you can still see them on the sides of that screen. I kept looking to see if I could catch a glimpse of Közi but no Közi....

ZIZ played for 40 minutes, but time always flies by when you enjoy something. Közi was awesome as always, and looked great as most of the times. He had a black blouse with pink dots/spots, black velvet blazer and black tight leather pants.
All the members came in on stage one by one while Ö was playing, and Közi was last of course. he took quite the time to join the others and I couldn't help myself from thinking that he probably had a last drink.... before getting on stage to have one more... (since he had liquor on stage last time I saw him)

As the other times I've seen Közi he was really into what he was doing, and when comparing ZIZ performance with the other two bands, well there was a huge difference XD Közi just seems so comfortable on stage, like he's just doing his thing but it comes out so great and relaxed.

They played some songs I didn't recognise though. Közi announced in the MC the finished the recording of the new album so maybe it's on the coming release? I certainly hope so because I really liked the second song. It felt very Közi, like Katharsis meeting something electronic XD it's kind of hard to explain, but sometimes I feel like Közi's songs, or just part of certain songs is "dreamy" in a way. Like not straight forward like RayD5, like they're blurry, like Katharsis or parts of Memento. Does that make sense? maybe it's just in my head but I feel like Közi's songs sometimes does that, they enter some sort of trans-stage XD like they sound a bit repetative, but not in a bad way, and melancholy. Yugami did vocals with Közi on this, and it didn't sound like anything ZIZ released so far...so I'm very excited for this new album.

Except for ZIZ great performance, I acctually found myself a bit annoyed... Since bands like ZIZ are really small, the people who come to see them are usually the same, so they come on like fangirl groups and they usually know or are familiar with the other people who come to see the other bands aswell. SO, this live gig wasn't so small that they ahd one of those "lists" for the frontrow, instead it was one of those in which the fangirls wait in the back and then they just change place with someone they know :P so it's impossible to get really close, and I feel a bit frustrated especially since these people see these bands several times a year and for me it's once in a lifetime XD (sorry, this might sound a bit like I should get a privilege just because I'm a foreigner, but it's more I feel like I should get a privilege because I might not see them again XD). All though I prefer the japanese live-system, the whole ticket with number is great IMO, but inside I get kind of pissed to be honest. As a foreigner you really feel a bit left out.
Also I really don't get everyones systematic behaviour. Like I mentioned before, everyone does the same movements at the exact same time, and sometimes it's not just wave your hand, sometimes it's almost like tiny dances XD and I just want to know who the *** came up with that XD It takes so much energy and focus to do all that, you almost miss the whole livegig. Like I mentioned before I didn't care when I saw The Velvet the last time, I just wanted to enjoy the gig, and same with ZIZ...ESPECIALLY with ZIZ. Their music (IMO) isn't even suited for all that dancing and headbaning or whatever...I don't get it, the front row went all crazy with the headbanging, and I can really not hear that in their music... it's almost like the japanese fans HAS to do all that stuff, even if the music doesn't even have parts in which it's suitable. I mean not even the band hints at that (normally you can just look at the band, like with D, Tsunehito headbangs, you headbang). It's a true mystery to me... the Japanese way of concerts (should be a book about that..).
Over all I had a great evening though (still want to hear Spiegelwelt though...).

Deep Sanctuary IV

Last night Deep Sanctury was held at Akasaka Blitz! Most of you know what that means; it's a one night tiny Malice Mizer reunion!
When I first heard that it would happen while I was going to be in Japan I couldn't believe it, and it really was one of the best concerts of my life.
So, you want details I'm sure :3

I met up with two other girls and we went to the ESP fair first. To be honest I got a bit disapointed, mana only had 1 costume for display and Közi had NONE! Yeah, only 3 of his guitars. I get a bit sad that Közi feels slightly forgotten sometimes...
The ESP store also played parts of the Invite to Immorality DVD.

Then we were off to the venue. Earlier Moi Dix Mois had announced the merch tables would open earlier and that they'd have Malice Mizer items/item and that of course made me really want to get there on time :3

Unfortunately, it was just a luckybag, an envelope sort of, for 3000yen, so I decided not to get that (it was random Malice Mizer items, like stickers, postcards, frame, mirror etc). I did get a ZIZINE vol2, ZIZ t-shirt and a Matin cup though! (the cup was cheaper than if bought from MidiNette or CdJapan...)
Mana requested Malice Mizer cosplayers for this event and a few showed up! The cosplayers spotted did:
Mana from Gekka no yasoukyoku, fanclub event after Gackt left, Saikai no chi to bara and Beast of Blood. There was also a Közi and Yu~ki from Gekka no yasoukyoku. Acctually I also spotted one girl who looked like she made a cosplay from an old Glol photoshot of Mana.
One funny thing was, about 70% of all the people showing up was in Moité or at least in that kind of fashion. I was kind of impressed by those completly dressed in Moité, thinking about how expensive it is XD
I had a sort of good ticket. I think I had a row with about 6-7 people infront of me, so when ZIZ got on I had a view of Közi. He was wearing a sort of red/black poncho/jacket which looked a bit army inspired, with leather pants. His make up was like it usually is but with some green and purple:ish eyeshadow on the sides.
This was my first time seeing Közi and ZIZ live (I don't count the talk event I went to) and I have to say, Közi lived up to my expectations, x100! I just love how he's so full of energy, his voice is so great live too! He really seems to enjoy himself on stage. The guitar he used during ZIZ was his grey/silvery one from back in Malice Mizer.
I was really hoping I'd get to hear Spiegelwelt, but unfortunately not. ZIZ played 3 songs I've never heard of, according to a japanese twitter account at least one was an american song (so a cover??), but I reallyreally enjoyed Kosmostill and Sanityman! Even with a full band Kosmostill was awesome, eventhough the accoustic version at the talkevent was sort of special. Közi got everyone going really well, I was sort of paralyzed during the first half though (couldn't get I was standing infront of THE KÖZI, I've been admiring him for so long now, it was so special for me to see him play live). The last song ZIZ played was Super naked disco, which I...don't like XD but live it was really fun to see, Közi was dancing all over getting people in the crowd to join him. Then the band went off.

Then the staff began preparing the stage for Moi Dix Mois. They didn't have anything special on stage (like when I saw them in 2011, they had a huge cross in chains hanging from the ceiling), just the Moi Dix Mois logo in the background.
The crowd had been kind of calm during ZIZ, but once the first tune from En lumiere began to play people started pushing to get closer to stage. Moi Dix Mois was in their most recent costumes (the ones with gold). Seth looked a bit different, he had a white/silver lense in his right eye, looked really good on him.
I stood right in the middle and I have to say it felt weird with just 4 members... It really felt like something was missing. I also began to wonder where Közi was, since he was supposed to be acting support member.
This was my second time seeing Moi Dix Mois, so I know they really perform well. Their gigs are somewhat predictable, but I enjoy them so much. You really enter Mana's world for a short while. I was looking at Mana quite a lot, and he felt a bit distracted, unpresent acctually from time to time. I felt a bit sad for him, I'm guessing it might have to do with K(?), or he just had a bad day maybe. I really looked forward to a "Dix-song" (one of those in which they always make people yell things out and do stuff to, like Dispell Bound) and tonight they played Immortal Madness. It was creating a good atmosphere, and all the members seemed to be at good spirits, except for Mana who seemed a bit sad. Even Hayato got a bit of time to make an appearance! (I really like Hayato so I was very pleased) He tried his hardest to get the 2nd floor to shout, ...it was as silent as the grave. After a while they joined in though. I've seen people say there was a technical problem with Mana's guitar, but from where I stood it looked more like he acctually missed strings when he was playing, which wouldn't be impossible since he seemed a bit distracted.
This was the first time for me to hear one of their new songs, Twilight Flower! It reminded me a bit about Mephisto Waltz but with heavier bass and guitar. Seth was dancing so gracefully over stage while singing this, so pretty.
At the end, Közi joined in for 3 songs! The interesting part was his change of clothes. Seems like not many noticed but he got into some Eve of Destiny clothing. The corset he had a lot during that time (but which he also had during Malice Mizer late era) and he also wore that pleather poncho you can find on old EoD pictures!
Közi didn't really have that big of a part during this time, he just played and shouted a bit. Also it was really cute, Mana came over for a short while and put his hand on Közi's shoulder while he was playing. I wish those 2 could get togheter and do something, it would be so awesome.
The last song played was Je l'aime, it was a very suiting song to be played as final. Then the band left the stage, hayato was holding a pumpkin doll with black and red yarn on one side of its head (I think it was a tiny K reference).

Then it was time for what I think most looked forward to, Malice Mizer!
Everyone began to shout when the first tunes of Bois de Merveilles could be heard, then all members entered togheter. Mana and Közi had a change of clothes, Mana had the same outfit as he had on the last Deep Sanctuary, and Közi had almost what he had on the first, but instead of the shirt with the lips on, he had a sort or black velvet blouse with black seethrough cuffs and collar, with a red ribbon around the neckpart. Yu~ki had the same black blouse but with a new vest and pants (with pattern), he also wore a hat, not a tophat though and without a beard.
Like the old Merveilles DVD, they followed Bois de Merveilles with S-Conscious, making everyone shout "cut it out". Then there was time for the QA with Yu~ki. When Közi went up to the mic and announced them as Malice Mizer people shout, and it felt so nice to hear to be honest.
People had sent questions to Mana to be asked to Yu~ki, so Közi held a Moi Dix Mois folder with the questions, he had a bit of trouble opening it XD Mana came over and helped him, hehe.
Közi read out if it was a girl or a boy who asked the question and where they came from, then he made funny/weird voices reading the questions, so it was hard to follow XD They talked chocolate though, and clothes (Yu~ki mentioned vintage). Közi also pointed out some cosplayers in the crowd and Yu~ki was also impressed by his own cosplayer! (she looked so much like him)
Then there was time for the last song, N.P.S.N.G.S. I have to say I was a bit disapointed with the chosen songs, both are kind of short... But there was so much energy on stage, especially from Közi, I can't complain. Then they went off, and after a short while we could hear the tunes of Au Revoir playing! I was so hopefull they'd play that, but they didn't. Mana came first on his scooter (same as in Brise with his little toy on it), and then all of a sudden he fell! I was so suprised, Yu~ki came and helped him up, but Mana gestured he was fine, I think you could see on him he was kind of embarrassed though, he looked down to the floor for a while. Közi also showed up with his creepy doll from Brise :P and then they all threw out some candy. I didn't get any (but later found one of Yu~ki's chocolate coins on the floor, fufufu). Yu~ki had a cute little pumpkin basket, and Közi was so into his doll he didn't notice Yu~ki and Mana stood in the center of stage, ready to say goodbye. Yu~ki went over and got him to join them though XD
Then they left and that was that.

Outside, 2 huge flower arrangements had been put out, one from Schwarz Stein, and one from ESP.

I felt a bit sad at the end, I've been looking forward to this since I heard about the event and now it's over... but I'll see Mana and Közi again for sure (Moi Dix Mois will play again at Shibuya WWW in december, that's also where I saw them the first time so sweet nostalgie).
One ting that bothered me tonight was that Moi Dix Mois really felt incomplete. K's gone, and Mana was distant, they rarely play live gigs anymore and even rarer to see a release from them. They didn't even sell cd's like they used to! I feel worried about the future of Moi Dix Mois. I really don't want to see them go on a hiatus or even worse, break up. I really hope they'll keep going, we need them.

I had such an amazing evening! I can't put it into words how happy I was to be able to see Mana, Közi and Yu~ki togheter. Malice Mizer has meant to much to me, for so many years now. It's partly because of them I decided to study japanese and so it's thanks to them I'm here now! This might have been the last time for me to see them togheter, and I will certainly cherish it for the rest of my life.

My dinner XD
