Last night I went to Shinjuku Naked Loft to attend a talk/accoustic event with Közi among others!
I didn't really know what it was, but Közi was gonna be there, so I went XD
The bar was so much smaller than I imagened! I sat in the corner sipping my drink while trying to breath (so many were smoking x_x). They let us in it at 6pm, but the event didn't start until 7pm. Those who attended was Közi, Jiro and Chargeee from ZIZ and then a duo called bulb (which I never heard of), and both bands had their own menu^^ (see the picure below).
At 7 it started and Chargee rushed unto the tiny stage, followed by Jiro and then Közi <3 My inner fangirl wanted to faint but I decided to stand up instead to see him better XD He looked awesome, black suit, kind of widelegged pants, and the inner of the jacket had a pattern in darkred. To that he had a white/red striped shirt, a black tie, and big sunglasses. His hair was like it's been for the latest time, sort of brownish, in a similar hairstyle to this picture:
There was a lot of talking and I didn't understand it all =( they had one fun bit though, which every person had taken a picture! Közi's first was of his toiletpaper...which his cat had made a whole through! Yeah, looked like it put it's claw stright into it XD Közi had two more pictures, which was of toys for his cats ^^ (sweet ne).
He also drew a portrait of Chargeee :P
Like I said, there was a lot of talking, then finally, last they were going to sing a song each (ZIZ and that other band), and they did Kosmostill *_*
I have to say, I was so impressed by Közi. I mean he didn't start out as a singer, and now he sounds so amazing! He sounds good on the cd's but live, sugoi! and he didn't even look strained, he just sat there, so calmly and sang so amazingly. Really, I can't say how great it was to see that.
At the end of the event, when they were going off stage he accidently steped on the cord to the mic (I think it was Közi and not Jiro who did), they both looked a bit suprised when the mic made the noise from falling ^^ Then he waved good bye and got off.
This was the first time I saw Közi, which is kind of weird, I mean I've been to Tokyo twice and I've never seen one of my most beloved bandmen. I can't wait until I'll get to see him again!
This was the menu for tonight, ZIZ had a curry^^ (I wonder if that was Közi's decision since he sued to say it was his favorite food^^)
Next up is to see The Velvet on sunday! Looking forward to that!
Also, I finally found VIDEO GAYTION at Closet child!

"Tonight I'm back to elementaryschool"
Thursday evening I went to NHK Hall in Harajuku to see one of the last concerts of BUCK-TICK's Aruiwa Anarchy Tour.
This was my first time seeing BUCK-TICK, so I had a lot of expectations! I got to Harajuku a bit early so I couldn't stop myself from going to Closet Child (I finally found XA-VAT's Videogaytion!!!)
Anyway, it wasn't just my first BUCK-TICK concert, but also my first, well major concert here. While standing outside waiting for the doors to open I realised I was one of the younger people there. I'm not exaggerating when I'm saying 50% was like 35-50 years old! I think it's amazing to see all these people I assume followed BUCK-TICK for years, are still active fans! The topic for todays entry is acctually a quote from one of the woman I stood next to while waiting. She was pimping herself up with the BUCK-TICK towel, wristwarmer etc. So eventhough many younger people here have no idea what band BUCK-TICK are, their old fans are still completly in love with them! (In the front row was a really old woman, in perfect view up Atsushi's crotch :P) I had a horrible seat, but since NHK Hall isn't that big, my view was still kind of okey. The music playing while waiting for the band to enter stage was a mix of euro-electro (some french song) and then a bit of cabaret-kind of music with a modern touch. The intro for the concert was cartoon factory animations with noise-music, then finally all members got on! I'll add a setlist for the bottom, I don't have anything to say for all songs anyway. To be honest I was kind of disappointed in Aruiwa Anarchy when I first heard it (okey to be completly honest I'm kind of disappointed in all of BUCK-TICK's cd's from Mona Lisa overdrive XD), but hearing the songs live really made an impression on me. First off, Atsushi's voice. Seriously, hearing him on DVD and cd is nothing, he was completly amazing! I was positive that I wouldn't get the live cd limited to Tower Records, and now I'm ordering it! (seriously, I'm ordering i while writing) My favorite songs on the record was obviously good live too, like Once upon a time and Not found. Mudai is also one of the best songs on there, and it was completly amazing live! Like I said, Atsushi's voice was perfect. Live, Mudai was even better than on the cd, I hope they'll play it again on the standing tour :3 Songs which suprised me was Satan, Montage and Masque. Satan is one of those songs I thought was a bit boring but with potential, live it really blew me away. The background images was also very suiting for the song (red rain falling down and gothy shit like that :3), and again, Atsushi's voice!!! He's just awesome. I always enjoy the older (or not so old) songs, so hearing Iconoclasm and Montage was really nice, but Limbo was the best from the previous releases. I really wish I could've been on the first floor for that... Guess I have to wait until the DVD is released so I can enjoy the concert once again. This evening the band had Kokusyoku Sumire as guests to help them during the new version of Victims of Love. I prefer the original version but I have to say..... Atsushi sounds so good in this tango sort of version XD They stayed on stage for Alice in Wonder Underground and Diablo. After this evening I can't wait until December and their standing tour *_* I was going to write something about the members...but my seat was so far away XD Uta was really genki as always though^^ and Yagami almost hit his own head with the drumstick when he was throwing it down on the floor like he always do XD Sugoi

Saturdaynight in Shinjuku
We had a class today eventhough it's saturday :P so with all the afternoon free I and a friend went to Shinjuku!
I mentioned it before, but I love Shinjuku! To me, Shinjuku shows the perfect image of (what I'm guessing) most people assume of Tokyo. Lots of tall buildings, lots' of neon and big screens, and of course lots of people!
For the first time in my life I went to karaoke XD I hate singing so I've avoided that as much as possible, but it seemed like a fun thing to do, and it was to be honest XD
The only band they had, and which I know the lyrics to, was BUCK-TICK, so now I'm well prepared for their concert next week XD
I also got myself a ticket for Schwarz Stein's one man live at Shibuya Rex on the 3rd of november, so if anyone wants me to get them something from the concert you can leave a comment here!
I'm so happy I got a good number too (7), hopefully I'll make it to the front row so I can stand before Hora again <3

Arrived
I arrived at Narita yesterday morning, and without sleep for about 16h I was exhausted.
I'm living a bit outside of Tokyo (30 minutes with semi express train, took me about 1h last night with the regular one), so it's kind of peaceful here.
This is the view from outside my window.
Since I had not slept and I arrived at my dorm around 12, I really didn't want to go to bed and not being able to sleep in the evening, I wentto Shinjuku with 2 girls from my class and we walked around and had Korean for dinner (really tasty)
Today I woke up by a small earthquake (felt big to me though, the stuff I have on my shelf fell down...), to be honest it felt kind of surrealistic, to see the room shake XD but I'll get used to that hopefully :P
It felt really good to be back in Japan, and very much to see Shinjuku again (my favorite place and also where I've stayed the past times I've been in Tokyo). I payed a visit to Puresound, which also felt awesome XD But, hmm, Tama (where I live) feels a bit, weird. Like I don't feel that much at home, maybe because I just arrived :P But also because I really enjoy the busy parts of Tokyo.
Tomorrow's the first day of school, 頑張る!!

A while ago I came across an auction for Velvet Eden's single Sute Neko. This auction included a photo of the band, I have no idea where it came from, if it were a first press bonus or something from a special store.
I bet most are familiar with this picture already, but the copy which has spread is in very bad quality, so I tried my best (without a scanner!!) to get a proper and big version of this fantastic picture.
I have a bit of a special bound to Sute Neko because it was the first song I ever heard from Velvet Eden, and I absolutely love it! It's a bit fun to see Dada still doing the scorpio outfit which was used in the 90's (and again now in the VELVET EDEN PV), and I also think this is the most bizarre and different look for Velvet Eden. The bandmembers look like each and one of them has their own style and not particularly gothic either (I mean RYO is a skeleton, Hora has Cloud hair and Abexx has horns! :P).
I feel like this probably is the least loved era of Velvet Eden, perhaps because it broke many of the boundaries which made Velvet Eden what it was?

Tomorrow at this time I'm probably getting ready to head for the airport. I'm feeling both excited and very nervous. I've been to Tokyo twice before so I'm not really that scared of going there (eventhough I do think about stuff like missing my connecting flight, or the plane being set on fire and other silly things), but I think what I'm most nervous about is school. I didn't mentioned that in my previous entry but I'm going as an exchange student (I'll be writing my thesis when I get back next year!) and I'm really nervous about school to be honest x_x
I'm also really stressed about my gig-schedule XD I know I should just be happy that I'll see so many awesome bands but I'm really bad at finding places so I'm worried I'll get lost and won't get to the events on time :P I have a BUCK-TICK concert scheduled on the 25th, to add to my worries it's on a Thursday (what if I have class then XD??)
I hope everything will turn out fine though (and I bet it will), but to calm my nerves I'm listening to a really awesome song by BUCK-TICK. Be cautious though, I can barely watch this PV without feeling sick from all the spinning x_X

Welcome~
Thanks to everyone who takes their time to check this blog.
Most of you probably found it through me since I shared it :P So you probably know what will be written here already but for everyone else; this blog is about my number one interest, the japanese musicscene. I can't guarantee that random stuff won't show up, but the mainfocus will be on music.
From mid-September I will be in Tokyo, Japan, therefor I thought opening a blog would be a good idea (I already have a group for Velvet Eden and Hora on FB but I want to share thoughts, pictures and music of the rest of my most beloved bands), and I will attend a lot of live gigs during my time there and I will update here afterwards!
Later on when I get the time, I'll transfer longer translations posted at my FB groups and also link to pictures from my Tumblr, so that it will be easier to find.
